August Round Up

Eyyo folk, round and round we go. This year's been wacky as hell and music has been a nice vessle to some sense of normalcy amidst everything. There's a lot of different tastes in this month's round up but I'll be going over just a few of em. Let's go! Shreddy Krueger- Heathen One of the reasons I love post hardcore so much is when bands have a powerful and moving clean vocalist that can carry melodies amongst the musical chaos. Shreddy Krueger has been big on my playlists lately and Heathen is a prime example of why I enjoy them so much. In Ruin is my most listened but I think Heathen is my favorite vocally. I get some nice Periphery vibes. The Fall Of Troy- Chain Wallet, Nike Shoes I'll be honest, I'm not a big listener of The Fall of Troy. I certainly appreciate their older work and F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X gained mass appeal so they're definitely something special. I randomly flipped through their newest release and stumbled upon this

Album Grab Bin #1 And Some Cool Stuff!

Sweet, something unique to post! One part of this post will be a recurring but more spread apart thread of posts. Along with playlists I'll do 20-25 album "grab bins" where each image will be based on a specific topic or genre.  The inaugural grab bin post is a collection of albums that I especially enjoy. Some are newer and some I've listened to for years. The genre differentiation is a bit more prevalent in my opinion. I highly recommend checking all of these out!  I must say though, I eyeballed these album covers together on my phone and it looks kind of meh. Apologies for that one. Below I'll be linking each album left to right, top to bottom. But first, on to the next part of this post! I recently visited a record store again since the pandemic started back in March. I love to collect CDs here and there, and I recently picked up a few. Below is a link to my Discog Collection where you can view the physical media

July Roundup

Hey y'all! It's that time once again. Another month down and it's time to post my monthly playlist for July. This month has been chaotic as well as a starting point for other playlists such as my last post on EDM. Anywho lets dive in now! Properties of Nature- Sorry Excuse I know it's quite surprising to have another Swancore artist at the top of my roundup, but Properties of Nature are smooth and I've been stuck singing along to Sorry Excuse as well as Giraffulo . Their sound and vibes they give off could be heavily associated with A Lot Like Birds although ALLB are more technical instrumentally.  Happy Hour- Sorry, I Only Drink Guinness Oh yeah, another one. While Happy Hour would also be considered Swancore, they sound much more similar to DGD than Properties of Nature. On a side note I absolutely love that quick drum intro. If you're a fan of Jon Mess the song Dreamcast Trash will give you some sweet vibes as w
