There's a pretty good chance that you stumbled upon this blog accidentally. If that's the case then I welcome you to read a bit about what's going on here.
I began this blog back in February 2020 as a way to physically (virtually) post playlists that I make via Youtube Music. I've always been really into compiling playlists and lining music up that can flow into one another nicely. As well as making playlists, I'm always looking out for new music to discover and share with people. I'd like to say that I like a bit of everything mostly although I can easily get caught up in 2 or 3 genres for months on end. I try to not reflect that on my posts by coming up with random ways to put music together. Album grab bins, appreciation posts, bands of the month etc.
One of the main issues I come across is my ability to write about the music I'm trying to share. It's difficult to describe music beyond its sound, and to stuff a description with too many adjectives seems elementary. I think this is something that'll come with time and I've already set the rule that I won't post something to just post it. I'm not the type to advertise something that I do if I'm not trying to do it professionally. Everything here is genuine and music I post is music I've listened to and enjoy.
About Myself
Just a dude mostly. I make electronics and love cats, especially my cat. I spend my nights attempting to play my massive backlog of video games but usually end up on YouTube. When it comes to music I'm mostly in love with Post Hardcore (90's, early-mid 00's, 2015-current). A lot of artists tend to have more than one genre to them, or switch styles during their career. It's something I don't try to overthink as I see a lot of gatekeeping when it comes to defending which band is in what genre. I grew up starting out with bands like Nsync and the like, but got into rock around the age of 8. Bands like Switchfoot and Rise Against were some of the earliest introductions for me. Contemporary yes, but still great. Around this time I got into heavier artists like Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot. This as well as growing up with an older cousin sparked a big dive into metal throughout my teens. Big loves to this day are sub genres like Thrash, Death/Deathcore, and Metalcore. I enjoy the more old school artists like Dream Theater, Megadeth, and Metallica etc but I don't listen to them frequently anymore. I'd say over the last 5 years of my life I've mostly listened to Post Hardcore, Indie/Emo, and Pop Punk the most.
I'm not sure what else to say but I hope that you enjoy going through my content!
