May Round Up

Another month down already? Sheesh. May has been expansive and will probably roll into June, so let's see what I can pick for now with the monthly round up! Dance Gavin Dance- Three Wishes Oh yeah, good ole DGD. Afterburner came out in late April but it wasn't until a week or so later that I gave the whole album a listen. It's phenomenal as anticipated, and Tilian continues to keep the standard high. Three Wishes is exemplary in sound and vibe and was my most played as well as Strawberry's Wake. Nude Shoes- You In January If you've been reading through some of my recent posts, you'll see that I've mentioned Nude Shoes before. This time around is their newest single, a cover of a song originally by The Wonder Years . I love TWY but I think this rendition is better than the original, it's excellent. Worthwhile- Unlovable I'll start this one off with one thing. I bought this album on Amazon and it'

Appreciation Post #4

My good internet folk! It's been a bit since I've posted. It's unnecessary to really push content as this is just for you internet travellers and myself which is all the more reason to make content "well".  I hope that the music is better than how I describe music most of the time but that's why I try to keep things short(er). Anywho let's get into the content! Outline In Color- The Chase Scene This is a saucy one actually, if you're into that sort of thing. The reason why is because my ex-girlfriend introduced me to them about 5 years ago. The Chase Scene was the first song I heard and K.C. Simonsen's clean vocals were like any other in the post-hardcore scene. Note "ex" girlfriend but about 2 years later my friend and I went to see them at a show and afterwards outside we had the chance to chill with them for like half an hour and they were the chillest dudes ever. Heavy vocalist Trevor Tatro as well as K.C. aren't

Wtf! Music

Eyyo people, I'm back again with a new type of post for this blog. Before I said I had an idea for weird or strange music and now I'm delivering. I can say for sure this will be the most interesting post so far. Some of these you can't really describe that much, so I'll do my best and if it piques your interest be sure to check em out! Let's gooo Passenger of Shit- Staple Tapeworms on my Penis I'll get this one out of the way first because it's the only one that's truly obnoxious. The song starts off with a retro bit style beat and then SCREAMING. REALLY LOUD. It becomes all distorted and it's near impossible to put this under a genre but it's really something. Bang on a Can All-Stars- Meditasi, Head (Feat. Bang on a Can All-Stars) This one starts off as a soft orchestral piece and then turns into some crazy off tempo guitar chords. I found this one through Rock Band and it stood out to me as not your typical song.

April Round Up

Well, you know what they say. "A day late a dollar short", or something to that effect. April has been a busy month but it's over with, so lets hop into the monthly round up! Nova Charisma- Gemini Nova Charisma is a post-hardcore band from Baltimore consisting of members from Hail the Sun and Royal Coda. For fans of DGD, Nova Charisma fits right in with similar bands such as Stolas, Sianvar etc. Donovan Melero has such a fresh voice that you can't help singing along with. More Than A Thousand- Teenage Wastelands MTAT was a Portuguese metalcore band that formed in 2001 and ended in 2016. I've been a listener of theirs for years and they have a unique sound compared to American metalcore bands. Teenage Wastelands is a more melodic and melancholic song compared to most of their other work. This song made it to the round up but I couldn't just not link I Am The Anchor . Eleventyseven- Give It Up Oh geez what a throwback. Elevent
